to the Bayview Winery - our beauteous overgrown rose garden awaits
you. The Bayview Winery is home to the Luna Groove Community Space and
Celebrations!!
We are pleased to announce our on-going Yoga /Movement/Contact Classes
have resumed as of Thursday, March 18th ( @ 7pm), beginning with Chris
Sia’s Urban Yoga, for the first few weeks and then moving
through a series of classes with guest teachers from the community. Total
beginners are totally welcome, so come shake off the winter with us. Let’s
see what we movers can do with Luna Groove’s beautiful dance loft!
Chris Sia, teaches what he calls Urban Yoga - a rigorous fusion
of yoga, contact improvisation, shared weight games, and playful combat.
Athletic yoga to warm up and stoke one's energy, and the we move on to
share that energy with others, directing it playfully with contact improvisation
and playful combat. Wear comfortable, nonsynthetic clothing. Prepare to
sweat and have fun. All levels welcome.

Place: 3030 Ingalls, at The Bayview Winery (home
of Luna Groove Gatherings)
Time: 7:00 pm Yoga, 8:00 pm Contact/Movement
Date: begins March 18th, ongoing every Thursday
Price: donations based, but come even if you do not
have money.
Please do bring a yoga mat and towel)
Content: 1 hour of yoga training, and 1 hour of Movement/Contact
Improv in the studio. Varies with our teachers - but lots of partner/
improvisation training/games, image-choreo work (organic movements-butoh
based), dynamic trainings for the energy flow. |

DIRECTIONS
TO THE BAYVIEW WINERY
-Only 2 blocks from Bus #15 on 3rd St.
Or
-Only 10 minutes by car from the Mission…Jump on the 101 South from
the SF or the Bay Bridge. Get off on Paul Street exit (1
exit past Silver) make a quick Right off the exit ramp, go one block, and
turn Right onto Paul. Go straight until you pass 3rd Street, Paul changes
name to Gilman. Go 2 blocks and turn Right on Ingalls. The Bayview Winery
on the right side of the street, 3030 Ingalls - wonderful old barn behind
a Victorian and has a turquoise-green wooden gate. There is more parking
if you continue up the hill 1 or 2 blocks on Ingalls. Ring the lower bell
- Art/Life Bodyworks. 415-468-3495, neighborhood is like the mission, be
cool, and don’t leave stuff visible in your auto. |
